Mistakes matter. Just think about how obsessed the country was with every blunder former President Bush made. When you use “they’re” when you should have used “their” or you write “pubic” when you meant “public,” you are making a statement about yourself, and – believe me – people are listening.
Always have a second pair of eyes look over your work. I know I do! I can be those skilled, watchful eyes for you.
Editing is done on three levels. You choose the level that meets your needs:
Level 1 = Proofreading for spelling and typographical errors, subject/verb agreement and other basic grammatical issues. All changes are sent to the author using Microsoft Word’s Track Changes function, allowing the author to view all changes before accepting them.
Level 2 = Everything included in the Level 1 Edit, plus critique that will help the author address issues with tense, flow or other problems that may distract from the readability of the piece. Changes other than those included in the Level 1 Edit will not be made to the manuscript; however, suggestions will be delivered in a separate notes page. All Level 1 changes are sent to the author using Microsoft Word’s Track Changes function, allowing the author to view all changes before accepting them.
Level 3 = Everything in the Level 2 Edit, plus I will make changes and rewrites to the piece to provide an appealing flow. All changes are sent to the author using Microsoft Word’s Track Changes function, allowing the author to view all changes before accepting them.
